The route

Meet at Plan de Rocamadour, at the top near the elevator ticket office, parking P2. The guide begins with the panorama from the cliffside, descends to the square and the sanctuaries, enters the Notre-Dame chapel and the Saint-Sauveur basilica, then takes the grand pilgrims’ staircase to finish at Place des Senhals. The route is downhill and involves stairs: no difficulty for an average walker, but it’s not suitable for those with sensitive knees. The site is religious, so modest attire is requested.
